Need I say more?
Wah.
My cake.
My big surprise that only Jolie knew about and boy was she so excited to keep that secret from everyone else until after dinner.
It FLOODED out of the cake pan and into the oven.
Twice the baking soda does not = twice the fun.
I figured out what I did.
I was doubling my 1/2 teaspoon measure (in my mind).
But I actually doubled the ONE teaspoon.
Amazing stuff, that baking soda.
I'd rather move than clean all that out of the oven.
(But I'd just like to move anyway, so that's not anything new...)
Ugh. I was gonna make some other stuff in the oven after it came out!
Wah again.
Friday nights used to be so different.

i say leave the take the cake and leave the oven (said in my best GodFather voice of "leave the gun and take the canolie")
it sounds like your volcano expereiemtn was better than ours:)

wow. I had no idea an extra tsp of baking soda could do that much damage! Will have to remember that LOL. Aren't cleaning ovens the worst? I'd rather clean a toilet than clean an oven LOL.
:) You are just so cute.
I bet your cake would have been yummy! ;)
I am so
right
there
with you,
about the whole moving/oven thing.
I don't know that I've ever actually cleaned my oven. Paul might rake it out every now and again, I am not sure. I guess an exploding cake is a good reason to clean, though.
Friday nights certainly were different.
Very different.
Differently different. :)
Ashley.
Stacey! Your story had me laughing! I'm glad I stumbled onto your blog.

K, Stacey...sorry but I thought that was funny ;) I know it WASN'T when it happened, but your storytelling skills made it good for me, lol :)
(punch me now!) And I have to say I love how you have your blog linked on 2Peas. Hilarious! :)
Have a blessed, awesome day!
Jennifer
Ok I have to admit I laughed a little. We had an incident at the beach with unsalted butter that missed up a cake.
